Nashville Paw's 8th Annual "Art for Animals" Joins East Nashville!

Nashville Paw magazine's 8th Annual "Art for Animals" supports spay and neuter clinic's progress in decreasing pet overpopulation across our city. The fundraiser and art show will be held for the first time in East Nashville's historic Riverwood Mansion March 21st! You can expect food, libations, local art, and an opportunity to improve our community for our furry friends and us. Attire is dressy casual to cocktail. Tickets are available here

All of the proceeds benefit Pet Community Center, a low-cost nonprofit spay and neuter clinic in East Nashville whose feral cat program resulted in a significant 20% drop in strays entering the animal care and control shelter.

Madeline Opens Its Doors!

The long-awaited cafe, bar, and laundromat has opened on Meridian Street in the Cleveland Park neighborhood! Not only can you wash your clothes in a comfortable and squeaky clean facility, but you can enjoy their dessert bar or actual bar and enjoy a full food menu featuring chicken pot pie soup, veggie quiche, and slider dogs.

Stop by Madeline on Wednesday March 18th for Sarah for Metro Council District 5 Kick-off. Meet Sarah and some new neighbors and support a new local business in our community.

Q&A with The Local Taco

The Southern restaurant string, The Local Taco, is still a fairly new addition to us near Fatherland. The menu incorporates Tex-Mex classics (think enchiladas and tacos) and throws them out into a home-style cookout. The result? Fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced meals. Brian von Allmen of the Local Taco shares East Nashville's taco special, some killer happy hour selections, and exciting news for spring and summer on our blog

The Golden Pheasant is Back in Shelby Park!

Learn more about this creature and how it strayed so far from its native home in the mountains of Central and Western China on our blog here
